INSTALLATION OF HOIST RAIL BEAM

15 TONS IN STEEL MILL

We began the process by obtaining the necessary permits for working at heights, lifting, and fire safety. Subsequently, we cut and dismantled the old beam using oxy-fuel cutting and air arc cutting, with the support of an overhead crane and an 80-ton crane.

The next day, we carried out the lifting and positioning of the new beam on the second level, using the overhead crane for its final adjustment.

Once in position, our highly trained team performs the installation and welding, guaranteeing safety, precision and quality at every step of the process.

A "petibón" type crane is used to lift the new rail beam to the second level, while an operator carefully guides the process from the elevated platform.

I work with an articulated arm and basket to facilitate the placement of the beam at height, ensuring accessibility and safety during the maneuver.

The team of workers, equipped with safety harnesses, coordinate the lifting operation with a GROVE crane, used to raise the beam from ground level to the second level.

Specialized personnel perform the welding process to join the two segments of beam with a “Z” cut, a technique used to achieve the desired length of the new rail.
